Growing up in a regular suburban home is something I've taken for granted. It was an incredibly free experience being raised in such a calm safe environment. Something many may have never or may never know. Cramped city living, high crime areas, living paycheck to paycheck. I have never had to experience that. I was homeschooled through high school, went to a small private college, and now am on the cusp of moving to a new city in the following year lord willing. I have not been physically or verbally persecuted, in fact many if not every difficulty I've faced has been a result of either my own naivety, social reclusiveness, or gluttony (not merely food). I have no street cred... but I do not resent that.
I am in a career of capturing and crafting stories. No matter how real or fake they are my job depends on it, and my ability to survive relies on my aptitude of this. I repeat though; I have no street cred. The stories I've experienced while near and dear to my heart are of a simple subtle life. So where do I start? That question is not rhetorical, I am literally asking; where do I start? I admit I am young so the larger majority of my stories have yet to be made. But I still ask realizing calluses forms in odd places. For now I guess it's as simple as stepping way outside my comfort zone. So... Here I go.
September 21st through the end of the year, I will be taking a hiatus (pseudo). I will be traveling with The Keith and Kristyn Getty band managing volunteers and merchandise - and taking photos of course - through more than 30 cities across primarily the eastern US. If you're interested in seeing one of their concerts check their FALL or CHRISTMAS tour schedule to see if we will be near you. You will not be disappointed.
So where do you find your stories?
P.S. I will still post on occasion but for the most part will be slow to respond. If you need immediate services please turn to one of my many light chasing friends. They'll be happy to help.
